It's all in the mind

It's all in the mind. I saw a classic example of this today.

QianHui and QianNing have always wanted a pair of earrings (being the vain kids they are).

This morning, QianHui told me that she wanted a pair of earrings too.

I told her in order to wear earrings, we must pierce our ear lobes and it will bleed and will be painful. She was put off a little but seeing how she longed for it, I decided to give her a substitute.

I searched for my box of nail beads and took out four pieces, a pair for QianHui and a pair for QianNing.

I took some paper glue which can be easily removed, to stick the beads onto their earlobes.

When I stick the first bead onto QianHui's earlobe, she went "Ouch!".

I was so amused. She must be thinking that I was piercing her earlobe.

I told her I wasn't piercing her earlobe, just sticking on a bead. Then, I proceeded to stick on the second bead on the other earlobe and she went "Ouch!" again. LOL! :P

They were so happy with the "earrings" and kept dancing as if they had hit the jackpot!
